Hiring? Lemme know so I can share on Twitter for #WorkWednesday. Lots of folks I know (mostly Boston, but remote and across the US) are looking.
If you're looking for work and we know each other (it’s hard to recommend people I don’t know / haven’t worked with), I'm still matchmaking folks in the universe and have a spreadsheet I can share. And if you're a freelancer / consultant, I get more of those inquiries, I have have a form for that too!
What else are you looking for that I can amplify? I’m happy to share most things publicly if they make sense for me to genuinely share via Twitter / Instagram / LinkedIn, and I also just started a newsletter: http://eepurl.com/doB04v
FREELANCING / CONSULTING - Updated 4/13

re: freelance work, you can use the form below or email trish@trishofalltrades.com
I wouldn’t be a Trish Of All Trades without freelancing, so obviously this is at the top of my list.
Life as a freelancer right now has been very tenuous, so after 2.5 years of working on my own, I’m now looking for more permanent opportunities. Whether that’s more permanent part-time work to help supplement my consulting OR a full-time job, please feel free to reach out either way if you know of something that might be a fit (trish@trishofalltrades.com or fill out the form below). I, of course, will be taking on freelance projects in the meantime, so feel free to send those along as well.
I wrote this in my last update, but it still holds true for my freelance work… I’ve really loved being a sounding board for customer-facing teams, especially at smaller companies / startups with transitional / younger employees. Some have called me a startup “therapist.” I guess my Psych minor and studies in organizational behavior have come in handy!
Otherwise, if you’re wondering what kind of work might be a good fit:
Things I do (some consulting examples from the past year or so, for more detailed FT work check out my LinkedIn):
Community user interviews (working with teams across the company) that lead to product / platform improvement and implementation of new processes
Strategy for scaling existing communities
Event production, from securing venues to working with vendors and day-of event coordination
Sponsor booth experience, so representing companies that sponsor events and conferences in the US / Europe, from booth coordination to travel arrangements
Customer / community journey mapping
Writing knowledge base articles for employees or customers
Running internal workshops on varying topics, but check out my Speaking page for more details)
Video how-to’s
Voiceovers
Things I don’t do:
Day-to-day community management - As a consultant, I don’t feel it’s appropriate to be the face of a brand / company right now
Growth marketing - If you’re looking for more Twitter followers, I’m not your gal
Social media management - Again, not something I do when I’m not full-time
Be your yes person - I’d be an expensive head nodder. ;)
I have 50 recommendations on LinkedIn (across consulting, full-time, and speaking gigs), as well as excerpts on my Consulting page if you’re interested.
BOSFILIPINOS - Updated 4/13 (Asks and Events)

re: BOSFilipinos, you can use the form below or email info@bosfilipinos.com
In general, I’m running BOSFilipinos on my own. Initially I had co-founders, but the two of them left BF in 2018 at different times to focus on their FT work and family. I’m thankful for the work they put in during the early days, and they’ll pop in and write / help where they can. I’m also thankful for the many incredible community members out there who have shared / continue to share all things Filipino with me, as well as amplifying anything BF. Amazingly enough, many of these folks are not Filipino / Filipino American but have stepped up as incredible allies.
I do want to recognize 3 women in particular that have been especially awesome at driving forward the organization… Reina Adriano, who took some time to write blog posts for us and is still submitting things even though she’s no longer in Boston. Hyacinth Empinado, who is spearheading our Word Wednesday initiative (which you can see on our Instagram) - she comes up with the words, films the videos, and edits them together; and Katie Milliken who is spearheading our new podcast that will be launching this Spring. And not only have they taken time to share their talents with the BF community, they’ve all been incredible sounding boards for me.

CUSTOMER LOVE SERIES - Updated 4/13 (Asks and Events)

re: Customer Love, you can use the form below or email trish@customerloveseries.com
It’s been so fun re-launching the Customer Love Series with Diana Yuan, and it truly is THE best bringing together the doers, people across the employee and customer experience that are willing to share the ups and downs of their processes. We’ve got so much to learn from each other, and I can’t wait for more people to get involved with the Series in 2020. If you weren’t able to come to the Customer Love Summit that we held on Valentine’s Day at District Hall, here’s a recap I wrote for the blog. The videos will be launching soon as well, so stay tuned!

Asks
Sponsors - Currently looking for sponsors for the Customer Love Meetups in Boston. We’re also hoping to launch our podcast series this summer, so we’re looking for partners in that as well. Lastly, we’re considering expansion to other cities, so if you’d like CustLove in your city, let us know!
Volunteers - We’re always looking for helpers that are interested in the customer and employee experience.
Speakers - Know awesome speakers that are willing to show us what’s behind the curtain on their projects / campaigns / processes? We’d love to connect with them!

re: Speaking, you can use the form below or email trish@trishofalltrades.com
Went a little light on the speaking gigs in 2019. There are a few different factors around this: 1) My freelance schedule 2) Turning down speaking gigs where I didn’t feel like I was the best person to speak (it’s okay to say no, ya’ll) 3) That lovely bias against folks that are consultants. I feel like there was a point in my life where the latter really bugged me, but to be honest, if folks think I need to have a certain title in order to deliver a great message, we probably shouldn’t work together. :)
Upcoming events:
All Spring and Summer engagements were canceled, but I’m open to virtual / remote speaking opportunities. Feel free to fill out the form below or email trish@trishofalltrades.com.
VOLUNTEERING

re: volunteering, you can use the form below or email trish@trishofalltrades.com
Volunteering has always been important to me, but it became especially important after I got into startups. Startup life can feel so end-all-be-all, and I’ve fallen down that rabbit hole more than once, but volunteering helps me feel balanced. It’s been a super important part of my freelancer life, even just getting me out of the house when I have a long stint of working from home in the winter. On the whole I volunteer through Boston Cares, but otherwise I do weekly food rescues through Rescuing Leftover Cuisine. If you’re looking to get involved in Greater Boston, or maybe you live someplace else but want to know what the possibilities are around volunteering, feel free to message me. I also do at least one orientation a month for new Boston Cares volunteers, so if you’re looking for dates around that, happy to help there as well!
In January I went to The Bahamas with All Hands and Hearts to do some disaster relief work in Marsh Harbour. It was my second trip with AHAH (previously I volunteered with them in St. Thomas), and they’re just an incredible organization to work with. My main focus was on schools but I also volunteered for a day with World Central Kitchen. If you’d like to learn more about my trip, I wrote about it on Medium. And if you’re compelled to donate, I ran a fundraiser on my birthday that is still open to donations (and if you’re reading this after the closing date, you can donate directly here).
Resources (a few things I wrote on volunteering)
WRITING
The final MOTH scores. // Photo taken by me.
re: writing, you can use the form below or email trish@trishofalltrades.com
I haven’t been writing as much as I’d like. I did have a Creative Coworking Group on Sundays in 2019 that had bi-weekly checkins and some of us were also doing bi-weekly in person co-working, but that fizzled out as we hit deep summer and everyone was heading out on the weekends.
One thing I am proud of, writing and performing a Valentine’s Day piece for The Moth last year and tied for 2nd place. That was super exhilarating and I’d love to do another one soon.
COACHING / MENTORING
re: coaching, you can use the form below or email trish@trishofalltrades.com
Outside of mentoring accelerators and doing some mentoring for folks across industries / backgrounds, I’ve also taken on a couple one-on-one coaching gigs with women that are doing career transitions. This has always been something I’ve been interested in, as someone that wants to pay forward all the knowledge I’ve gained in my career. While I’m not actively looking for clients, if the chemistry is there (much like a mentoring relationship, you need to find the right person that you trust and vibes with what you need), I am happy to chat with folks about coaching.
